and Director of Lloyds Ironstone Co. Ltd.
On behalf of our colleagues, we avail ourselves of the favourable opportunity to present you with an address as an
individual and a collective recognition of the friendly position held by you during the past years towards all engaged in the
works at Corby.
We gratefully recognise the practical expression of your friendship and sympathy to our selves and families, especially during
the long trials of the past exacting war.
We have found you at all times ready with sympathetic consideration to view the varied questions affecting the working and
progress of the trade in which we are engaged, and equally ready to discuss them as part of our common interest.
The present time witnesses the establishment of your personal effort to continue the friendly union between us, and we trust
this happy union will continue to flourish, where each seeks the interests of all, and all of each.
We record with sincere appreciation your present valuable gift of a recreation club for the furtherance and bettering of
social friendship, with the gifts it contains; giving a helpful rest from the stress of daily work.
We are all aware of your interest of manly recreation in which you have taken a personal part, and have helped to gain the
interest of others.
We ask your acceptance of this gift, which is offered with unanimous approval, and we express the hope that the happy
connections existing between us may be our possession for many years, a true fellowship in one common bond of unity.
